On June 17, at its State Party Convention, the NC Democratic Party, acting on resolutions earlier submitted from four county conventions, adopted a resolution calling for enactment of MAID legislation. While county conventions have from time to time over the years endorsed MAID, this is the first time the resolution achieved state-wide approval. The NC resolutions will be forwarded to the national Democratic Party Platform Committee for its consideration.
