In a unanimous vote after a thorough discussion among the fellowship, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh has adopted a resolution supporting MAID legislation and calling on the NC legislature to advance the proposal. UU is a nationwide fellowship of open-minded, inclusive and liberal free thinkers. UU's decision to act on this measure was in large measure precipitated by several members' pressing need for a law allowing a peaceful end when confronted with a terminal illness.
